Biography
From Peruvayal to the Kerala Legislative Assembly.
A public service journey rooted in the law, student leadership and community organising.

Born in Peruvayal in 1993, Adv. Fathima Thahiliya pursued law at the Government Law College and completed her LL.M, building a foundation in constitutional and civic rights.
Her leadership emerged early through the Muslim Students Federation, where she rose to serve as National Vice President and founded Haritha — a women's wing dedicated to student advocacy and inclusion.
As State Secretary of the Kerala State Muslim Youth League, she deepened her focus on youth-led policy. Her tenure as a councillor at Kozhikode Corporation translated advocacy into hands-on civic delivery.
She became the first woman elected to the Kerala Legislative Assembly under the Indian Union Muslim League banner — a historic milestone — and now represents Perambra Constituency in the 15th Kerala Legislative Assembly.
